Post-Baccalaureate Aid

Certified Post-Baccalaureate students (those pursuing a second bachelor’s degree or a post-bachelor’s certificate) are not eligible to receive undergraduate need-based aid. However, you are eligible for scholarships, Federal Direct Loans, private education loans, and student employment.

If Work-Study eligible, Work-Study can be offered to certified Post-Baccalaureate students. Post-Baccalaureate students who are not Work-Study eligible, there are employment opportunities that are available and can represent a significant contribution to a student’s ability to fund their education.

Please note that subsidized direct loans can only be awarded if there is unmet need. If there is no unmet need, the direct loan will be awarded as an unsubsidized direct loan.

*Students who are not certified as having at least 60 credits towards their next degree as defined on the Second Degree Verification Form (5B) by their Advisor/Academic Department are classified as Sophomores for the purpose of awarding Direct loans.
**Students who have certified as having 60 credits or more towards their next degree as defined on the Second Degree Verification Form (5B) by their Advisor/Academic Department are classified as Junior/Senior standing.
***Parent PLUS Loans are only eligible to students who are classified by the Department of Education as a dependent student.
